The fastest way to make the lines and wrinkles disappear on our face is through injections. These treatments are a great way to smooth out the surface of the skin as well as give volume to sagging areas. Did we mention there is no downtime? The non-invasive nature and low cost to Botox and Fillers makes them very attractive. The results are almost instantaneous.
Keep coming back for Anti-Aging Treatments
So many clients are happy with the results they come back for more in subsequent visits. The only downside to these treatments is that they are not permanent and wear off completely by four to six months. Botox treats the skin by smoothing out the lines you see formed on the forehead, between the brows and around the eyes. Fillers are typically used to fill in the hollow or flat areas on the face such as lips, under the eyes and in the cheeks. It can give the illusion of lifting the face making it look more youthful.
A favorite treatment for our clients is laser hair removal. This non-invasive and nearly pain free treatment will gradually decrease hair thickness and regrowth. The lasers target hair in the active phase of growth only, so multiple treatments are necessary to get the best results. There is little downtime and low discomfort. The best thing about this treatment is you won’t have to shave your hair. The laser targets the hair follicle and destroys it. This hair follicle is what is responsible for hair growth. One downside is that this method does not treat light or white hair, however, it is safe for all skin types.
Primary Anti-Aging Treatments At Edmonton Dermatology
There are two primary treatments we offer at Edmonton Dermatology that help with contouring your body. The first is Coolsculpting and the other is Endymed. CoolSculpting is the number 1 non-surgical fat reduction treatment. The premise behind this method is to freeze fat cells and then the body eliminates them. This treatment is ideal when you already have a healthy diet and fitness routine in place.
You have worked hard to eliminate the fat the most natural way possible but there are stubborn areas that just won’t budge. This is an ideal reason to use Coolsculpting to target those places of unwanted fat. It contours your body the way you hoped diet and exercise alone would have. This is an ideal treatment for men and women. One session is two hours long and you can have multiple areas treated in one visit.
Fast acting Anti-Aging Treatments
Your results can be seen in three to four weeks after which the most visible results will be at the eight-week mark. 90% of the targeted fat cells will have been eliminated at that time. Many of our clients undergo two to three sessions to get the best results. It is important to understand the fat targeted is in the skin layers. This treatment will not reduce your weight but will change the look of the surface of your skin.
The second body contouring treatment we offer is Endymed. This treatment is also non-invasive and non-surgical. It uses radiofrequency technology to tighten and contour while at the same time using collagen to reshape the targeted areas. The heat causes the collagen to contract which helps change the appearance of the skin. It can take up to three months before the full results are realized. Six to 12 treatments are recommended. The results can last 12 months and longer depending on genetics.
Anti-Aging Treatments for everyone
An entry level skin rejuvenation treatment many of our clients opt for in helping with their skin is our newest system, HydraFacial. This powerful, non-invasive method to resurfacing the skin leaves patients coming back for it time and again. It combines many elements like cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, and antioxidant protection. This treatment helps reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation, increase skin’s firmness and elasticity, even skin tone and texture and unclog the skin making it feel less congested.
If you are looking to give your skin a complete overhaul you may prefer the Fraxel treatment. This laser targets in a non-ablative way meaning it doesn’t cut the skin. It penetrates deep beyond the surface to stimulate the body’s natural healing process. The old dead skin cells are replaced with fresh ones as well as collagen with it. This is a more invasive method to treat minor and major sun damage. It can prevent signs of aging and resurface damaged skin. There is more downtime with this treatment as the skin regrows, but the results are simply some of the best. Some patients enjoy them for years to come.
